Eligibility checklist

- ✅ Own the property (or have notarised owner NOC for tenants)
- ✅ Active DISCOM connection (JVVNL for Jaipur)
- ✅ Aadhaar-linked mobile + bank account
- ✅ Latest electricity bill (≤ 3 months old)
Documents you need (scanned PDF/JPG ≤ 500 KB each)
- Aadhaar card (front + back)
- Latest electricity bill
- Recent passport-size photo
- Property ownership proof (sale deed / patta / lease)
- Bank passbook front page (for subsidy disbursement)
- Cancelled cheque (alternative to passbook)
The 7-step portal flow
- Open pmsuryaghar.gov.in → click "Apply for Rooftop Solar"
- Register with mobile + DISCOM + consumer number
- Choose an MNRE-empanelled vendor from the official portal list (filter by your state / district)
- Upload documents (Aadhaar / bill / property / bank)
- Submit feasibility request → DISCOM site inspection in 7-14 days
- Feasibility approved → installation by the empanelled vendor can begin
- Post-install: upload installation report + commissioning certificate → subsidy credited in 30-45 days
Common rejection reasons (and the fix)
- Name mismatch on bill vs Aadhaar → submit a "name correction" affidavit (₹100 e-stamp)
- Sanctioned load < proposed kW → file load enhancement request with JVVNL first (₹250 fee, 14 days)
- Tenant without NOC → upload notarised NOC from owner (PM Solar NGO provides template)
- Property disputed / under litigation → cannot proceed; sort out the dispute first
