Three Components of the Scheme
Component A
Ground-Mounted Solar Plants
Decentralized 500 kW - 2 MW solar plants on farmers' barren land. Income from electricity sold to DISCOM.
Target: 10,000 MW
Component B
Standalone Solar Pumps
Off-grid solar pumps up to 7.5 HP. Up to 60% central subsidy, with additional support in NE states.
Target: 14 Lakh pumps
Component C
Grid-Connected Agricultural Pump Solarisation
Solarisation of existing grid-connected pumps. Extra income by selling surplus electricity to DISCOM.
Target: 35 Lakh pumps
